PPE

The Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) program cultivates leaders in business, indus-try and the civil service. If you are considering a BCom or a BA in social science and/or the humanities, we are here to help. PPE students normally gravitate toward one of the follow-ing three disciplines: (1) business, (2) economics, (3) law. You'll be challenged to build the habits of the mind that will allow you to do your very best. With small classes, engaging lec-tures, and comprehensive advising, you’ll learn new things in all new ways.

“Attending the PPE program was an opportunity for me to navigare the events of the 21st century within the context of historical thinkers. Through this program I was able to identify my personal beliefs, something essential for any young adult.”

Greece:

Empedocles believed that the terrestrial sphere was composed of four elements: earth, air, fire and water. Aristotle maintained that the 'sub-lunar sphere' was subject to corruption and change while the 'heavens', i.e. the domain pertaining to the space situated beyond the sub-lunar sphere, was eternal and unchanging. Aristotle enumerated a fifth element "aether" which originated form the heavens and was purportedly weightless and incorruptible.
